SmarterTrack 6.x Released

SmarterTrack 6.x almost ready

SmarterTools have informed us that SmarterTrack 6.x is almost ready for release (expect it within the next few days!).

It features a totally redesigned interface that focuses on delivering a rich user experience while improving your ability to provide the highest levels of customer support possible, plus time logs, VoIP integration, click-to-call, custom distribution options, load balancing and failover functionality and more.

The pricing for SmarterTrack 6.x remains the same as the current pricing. Customers with current upgrade protection will be eligible to upgrade for no cost. If you do not have upgrade protection or it is due to expire soon this can be purchased from ServerTastic at 10% discount.

Customers save over $241,000 on SmarterTools products

We recently renewed our partnership with SmarterTools (official press release). Back in February some of you may recall I posted how we had sold over $415,000 worth of SmarterTools products. I have received our August statement from SmarterTools (and that figure has gone up even more). This time I will focus on the SmarterBundle report.

We have assigned over $163,000 worth of SmarterBundle's to our customers (The SmarterBundle represents $800 worth of software supplied to customers at no extra cost who spend at least $199.00 with ServerTastic).

On top of the fantastic SmarterBundle promotion we also sell SmarterTools products at a 10% discount. Using the numbers from these reports (and a calculator) I have come up with some interesting figures.

If our customers had paid full price for all the SmarterTools products we have sold and SmarterBundles assigned they would have paid just over $946,000 (aiming for $1m by the end of the year!)

If I then calculate the discounts it shows we have saved our customers approximately $241,000!

SmarterTrack customer portal now has mobile interface

SmarterTrack the customer service portal from SmarterTools now has a mobile interface after the recent V5 update. The mobile interface allows agents to check and respond to customer tickets, transfer tickets and change the ticket status. Above are some screenshots taken from my iPhone to show the interface in action.

This is a fantastic feature to allow agents quick and easy mobile access to the support ticket system. Once you have updated your installation to V5 simply point your mobile web browser to <yoursupporturl>/mobile/ .

There are some enhancements I would like to see, but since this is a first release I am sure they will be added in the future.

• No access to custom fields
• No option to delete a ticket or mark as spam
• iPhone copy option does not work when viewing a ticket

The mobile interface is only available from V5. To be able to update your SmarterTrack installation you must have current upgrade protection. This is available from ServerTastic at 10% discount.

• FIXED: Agents can now change their ticket and Live Chat status for a group simultaneously.
• FIXED: Auto-responders for tickets submitted via the default brand now display a link to view the ticket online.
• FIXED: Auto-responders for tickets submitted via the default brand now display valid links to view suggested Knowledge Base articles.
• FIXED: Custom fields now display in the correct order when portal visitors submit tickets or Live Chats.
