System Migration Complete

We have completed a migration of the ServerTastic system. As a result the web site access speeds have been vastly improved. Although customers accessing the site via the old system may experience some slow speeds as the database is accessed remotely. Once your DNS has updated the speed will improve (should be no more than a couple of days).

Orders which are completed via the automated system should also occur much quicker. This includes orders for SSL Certificates, SmarterTools and DotNetPanel.

SmarterTools Reseller Performance

Over the years we have sold many products on ServerTastic. One of the companies we have worked with from the start has been SmarterTools. They produce an awseome range of products including SmarterMail (a highly efficient mail server with ActiveSync support), SmarterStats (a mega powerful web site statistics package with SEO reporting) and SmarterTrack (a customer service portal as used on ServerTastic).

This morning I received an email from them detailing my current reseller performance (we have to meet certain quarterly sales targets). In the summary was the lifetime total products sold. I have done a screen grab below as I could not believe it myself!


Yes we have sold $415,351.96 worth of SmarterTools products! This proves a number of things. 
  • SmarterTools produce fantastic products
  • It was the right decision to become a reseller. We have also renewed our partnership for another year; Press Release.
  • You (our customers) clearly love the products (and I am grateful you chose ServerTastic as your reseller)

SmarterTools Release SmarterTrack 4.7.3636

SmarterTools announces the release of SmarterTrack 4.7.3636, which is available as a FREE minor version upgrade to all SmarterTrack customers with current upgrade protection (10% discount with ServerTastic).

Highlights of the SmarterTrack 4.7.3636 release include:

  • EFFICIENCY: Redundant queries no longer occur when logged in as the primary administrator.
  • EFFICIENCY: Roles and permissions now require less database interaction.
  • FIXED: Agents can now modify their own custom email footer.
  • FIXED: Canned replies assigned to Everyone can now be edited by agents.
  • FIXED: Regenerating a summary report now groups data as expected.

SmarterTools announces the release of SmarterMail 6.6.3636, which is available as a FREE minor version upgrade to all SmarterMail customers with current upgrade protection (10% Discount on ServerTastic).

Highlights of the SmarterMail 6.6.3636 release include:

  • CHANGED: Read and Mark As Read now have separate entries in the language file to ensure accurate translations.
  • CHANGED: The To pop-up window on the compose page is now wider, making it easier to select message recipients.

SmarterTrack 4.6.3607 Released

SmarterTools announces the release of SmarterTrack 4.6.3607, which is available as a FREE minor version upgrade to all SmarterTrack customers with current upgrade protection. 

Highlights of the SmarterTrack 4.6.3607 release include:

  • CHANGED: Agents assigned the manager role can no longer access the spool page, as this page is an administrative function.
  • FIXED: The primary administrator can now access the management interface when there is a licensing conflict upon upgrade.
  • FIXED: An ambiguous error is no longer recorded in the error logs when the manage and workspace tree views are updated.
  • FIXED: Survey invitations sent to customers now include a link to the correct brand's URL.
  • FIXED: Clarified the phrasing of the error message that displays when an incoming Ticket message is sent from the management interface without a From address.

SmarterTools Launch new BETA Versions

SmarterTools is proud to announce the BETA release of SmarterTrack 4.5 and SmarterMail 6.5. 

New features available in SmarterTrack 4.5 include a redesigned agent status interface, improved KB search, and dozens of enhancements that improve usability and efficiency. 

New features available in SmarterMail 6.5 include antispam enhancements, Exchange ActiveSync support for Nokia phones, mailing list improvements, and integration for the Commtouch Zero-hour Antivirus add-on.

Participation in the BETA

Existing SmarterTrack 4.x and SmarterMail 6.x licensees and customers with current upgrade prot ection can install the BETA using their current active license key. For all other customers and those who do not wish to use their active license key, a BETA key can be obtained from the BETA signup page.

If a license key does not have current upgrade protection, visit the SmarterTools section of the ServerTastic website to purchase or reinstate upgrade protection to acquire the latest version.

New BETA versions will be released periodically throughout the BETA period and information regarding these updates will be available in the forum. At the end of the BETA period, customers will have the option of purchasing the software or reverting the trial license key to the free edition of the software.

SmarterTools Upgrade Protection Promotion Ends

PROMOTION EXTENDED TO 30TH SEPTEMBER 2009

It is now the last few days before the end of the SmarterTools Upgrade Protection Promotion on 24th September 2009 30th September 2009.

At the moment you can obtain upgrade protection for any SmarterTools product for 50% of the products standard RRP price (plus extra 10% discount at ServerTastic).

After the 24th September 2009 30th September 2009 it will cost 85% of the products standard RRP price to "re-activate" upgrade protection (but you still get an extra 10% off with ServerTastic).

Products can only be upgraded to the latest version with upgrade protection. There is no longer a one off upgrade option available. 

In the future if you have existing upgrade protection then you will be able to renew this each year for 40% of the products standard RRP price (plus an extra 10% off with ServerTastic - did I say that already??).

This promotion presents a great opportunity to get all your products covered for 12 months upgrade protection at the low promo price before 24th September 2009 30th September 2009.
