What our customers think about our support

Supportstats

If you have contacted ServerTastic anytime within the last few months you have probably received a request to rate the support you have received as Good or Bad. We do not do star ratings like 1-5 becuase the figures are generally meaningless. Is a 3 star rating Good or Bad?

So the basic question is Good or Bad? This lets us know if your questions are being answered correctly and if you are happy. We now publish the results of this data on our support pages. The above is a screenshot taken today. However the results shown on our support site is live data based on the last 100 ratings.

Some of you who run support desks will know it is difficult to please every person but we do our best!

Check out our live ratings and the Support Forum.

ServerTastic Updates

It may seem like things have been a bit quiet recently around here. The truth is they have. Time has been a bit short over the last few weeks due to a lot of work taking place to improve ServerTastic.

All of this effort is not apparent yet but should be soon with the launch of our new website! There has also been a multitude of backend enhancements which has released a lot of admin time.

Some things we have coming up in the next few weeks/months

  • New website launch
  • Affiliate Scheme
  • SmarterBundle to be made available to partner customers
  • SSL Installation service
  • Hosting Company Support Partnerships

Keep following the Blog for updates. ServerTastic is also on Twitter, FaceBook and LinkedIn.

Quick product update - True BusinessID with EV certificate has been dropped to just $149.00 for 1 year.

Simplified Basket Summary

Servertastic_basket

Just over a year ago I announced some changes to the ServerTastic website based around making the checkout process easier and stripping back all the uneeded content on those pages. This was extremely well received by all customers.

The same has now been done to the Basket Summary page. When you add something to your basket you will now see a nice simple uncluttered summary with clear links to continue shopping or proceed to checkout.

Keep your eyes and ears open for further announcements surrounding a major overhaul of the ServerTastic website.

Your feedback as always is welcome.

ServerTastic ShortURL Service

I have recently been experimenting with creating a ShortURL service for ServerTastic. Previously when posting tweets (ServerTastic Twitter) I have used the Bit.ly ShortURL service. But a few weeks ago I noticed you can now configure your own personal domain with the Bitly service (Bitly Pro).

This offers a brillint opportunity to add some additional branding when generating a ShortURL. So I set about finding a suitable domain that was short but recognisable as ServerTastic. I had a glance through the two letter country domains available and came across .cm. This is a fairly new extension so I thought I might get something catchy. Amazingly st.cm was available (and subsequently instantly registered by me!).

A few minutes of configuration on Bitly (and an hours wait for the DNS to start working) I had a new ShortURL service was born.

You can now use the st.cm service to shorten any links for ServerTastic. The service will not allow you to shorten any non ServerTastic domains.

Manual Order Processing Changes

Many of the order processing on ServerTastic is completed automatically. When you please your order the product is delivered within a few minutes.

However some products require manual processing. This can be because the supplier does not provide an API or because we need more information from you to complete the order. Previously we would send you an email with this information.

To allow for better management of manual orders these emails will now all be handled by our support system. So if you order something which requires manual processing we will automatically generate a ticket with details of the order. This ticket will then be updated as the order is processed. You do not have to log in to the support system to view the status or update a ticket. You will still receive an order update email and you can still reply by email.

This process will allow us to keep better track of the order status, provide you with better updates and keep a record of product delivery.

You can log in to the support system using your ServerTastic email address and password.

Make a Suggestion or Feature Request

10-01-2011_17-01-16

We now have a section on our support system where you can suggest new features that you would like to see included on ServerTastic.

The Suggestions & Requests forum allows you to submit your own requests, vote on other peoples requests and follow how our progress is going in implementing these requests.

Take a look and cast your votes. I have started the forum off with some common internally tracked feature requests. Your request might be used to improve our service to you and others.
