The latest version of SmarterMail has been released. Below is a quick FAQ of questions we have been asked and anticipate.

How do I get the latest version?
You can upgrade to the latest version if you have current upgrade protection. Simply download and install the new version to upgrade your existing installation.

I have upgrade protection so how do I get my SmarterMail 7 key?
Your key does not change. The licensing server is updated to allow your key to run a v7 installation. Simply install and activate v7 with your existing key.

How do I renew my upgrade protection?
You can renew your upgrade protection here. You must renew your upgrade protection before it expires to qualify for the discounted renewal pricing. You can renew up to 60 days before expiry. THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD.

I do not have upgrade protection how do I upgrade?
You must purchase upgrade protection to be able to perform the upgrade. If you do not have any upgrade protection then you must purchase expired upgrade protection.

I can not upgrade my SmarterMail installation from a SmarterBundle?
The SmarterBundle does not include upgrade protection. You will have to purchase upgrade protection to be able to upgrade.

Can I just purchase a one off upgrade?
All SmarterTools products now come with upgrade protection. This covers your product for 12 months with unlimited upgrades at no extra charge. It is not possible to purchase one off upgrades.

Can I downgrade my mailbox limits?
It is not possible to reduce the mailbox limits of a particular key. If you have a 1000 mailbox key then you must purchase upgrade protection for 1000 mailboxes. Alternatively it may be cheaper to purchase a new lower limit key.

Do you offer a discount to upgrade?
We offer a 10% discount on all SmarterTools products including upgrade protection.
