ServerTastic on Social Networks

You may have noticed that ServerTastic has popped up on a few Social networking sites recently. This means there are a number of ways you can keep up to date with ServerTastic.

We have a few followers / friends / fans / subscribers (whatever you want to be called!) on each network. But recently I received a complaint from a customer. He did not want to have to subscribe to all these different services to keep up with the latest news and promotions.

This is a fair comment. My reply was that he does not have to subscribe to all of the services just the one he finds easiest to use. The same information is posted to each network.

So while we are on all these networks you do not have to follow us on all of them (unless you want to of course) just use the network you find is the best way of being kept up to date or use a combination. For example you might follow us on Twitter for up to date information and subscribe to monthly email updates so you get a summary of all the information once a month.

The choice is yours.

FaceBook Connect on ServerTastic

It is now possible for FaceBook users to use FaceBook Connect to comment on our Blog. This is completely safe as we do not store your FaceBook details. Click here for more information about FaceBook connect. Why not become a fan of our FaceBook page?

In fact you can also use Twitter to log in and comment. (OK I have probably overdone it. This is a shameless plug for you to check out the blog and comment on recent articles!)

Demise of the ServerTastic Forums

After 3 years I have decided to close the ServerTastic forums. The initial few months there was a flurry of activities. Then there has been an average of 0.6 posts per month (yes that is right less than one post a month).

Forums still have their place on the internet although many other social media technologies are taking over. ServerTastic is available on Twitter and FaceBook as an alternative means of public communication.

Free SSL Certificate Promotion

Over the next few weeks we will be giving away a number of SSL certificates. This will be done via our FaceBook and Twitter pages.

Simply put we will be inserting a link into one of the posts made on FaceBook and Twitter each week. This link will provide give the user the ability to generate a free SSL certificate. 

But you have to be the first person to use it! If you are too late then the link will state it has already been used!

No purchase is required to qualify all you have to do is keep an eye on our FaceBook and/or our Twitter page. We will post the link simultaneously to both sites so you do not need to follow us on both (but you can if you want to!).

To maximise your chances of obtaining a free SSL certificate it is recommended you either follow us on Twitter an/or you become a fan on FaceBook and whenever you see a link you click it!

ServerTastic On Facebook

ServerTastic is now on Facebook! We have our own page where you can come and tell us how much you love, loathe or hate us (hopefully the former!)

We are a bit lonely at the moment and would really like you to show us some love. Simply click here and then click the "Become a fan" image. You can then post on our wall or start a discussion on the discussion boards.

Plus to help get you motivated we are offering a free RapidSSL certificate (1 Year) to 10 fans selected at random. To qualify for selection you must become a fan on or before 31st July 2009. Winners will be announced on 5th August 2009.
